SURKANDA DEVI TEMPLE
This temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peeth located all over Indian subcontinent and is dedicated to Goddess Surkanda – a manifestation of feminine divine. The temple is famous for its architectural beauty and its location – perched at an altitude 2,700 meters that offers a 360 degree view of the surrounding region along with the snowy Himalayan peaks.
DASHAVATAR TEMPLE
Initially known as Panchayatan temple, Dashavatar Temple is located 10 kms away from Dhaulti in Deogarh. The temple dates back to the Gupta Empire and is enshrined by Lord Vishnu. Besides a wonderful architecture, the walls of the temple have beautifully carved panels. The walls also have inscriptions of the Vaishnava mythology.
